Ujirani Mwema Welfare Association is a community structure by residents with a membership that spans across Uhuru Estate neighborhood and its environs, aimed at making these estates a place that is safe to live and raise families.

Last Expense Cover

Ujirani Mwema Members enroll and pay Ksh. 250/= per year per person. In case of the demise of the registered member, the next of kin (family) gets a cheque of Ksh50,000 within 48hrs.

ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM

Ujirani Mwema mobilizes residents to take care of their environment, currently we’re planting fruit-bearing trees and also marking and reviving the water hydrants in our Estates.

Vulnerable Program

As a community welfare group we identify the sick, aged and economically impoverished persons in our community and support them through food donations, morale boosting visits.

Security Program

We come together to build platform to raise area concerns to the authorities. Nyumba kumi is an important facet of our society and we take it very seriously.

Coordinators Welfare

They are the foot soldiers and include a strong team of court leaders from the entire Uhuru Estate. Their tireless efforts sees the group deliver on its mandate.

Community Outreach Programs

All Nyumba Kumi cluster leaders come together to build capacity and have a platform to raise their areas concerns to the authorities. Nyumba kumi is an important facet of our society and we take it very seriously.

We alleviate the stress of costly medical expenses and provide relief to those members who are unable to afford going far for medical treatment. The project is currently at its pilot stage and we will be giving more updates as the year goes on.

Coordinators welfare

Insurance Cover

Make interventions for members who are bereaved through the Last Expense Insurance Cover.

Localized Security

Working in Partnership with the local administration, provide localized Security solutions by lending a networked support to government initiatives like Nyumba Kumi.
